Naantali

Naantali is a town in southwest Finland with 19,068 inhabitants. It is located on the Baltic Sea coast in the Varsinais-Suomi region not far from Turku. Naantali is one of the oldest towns in Finland and is now an important port and a popular tourist destination thanks to its picturesque wooden old town.

It is one of the most beautiful places in Turku, the lake in which the wooden houses are reflected and the jetty which runs along these houses and makes a wonderful scenery.

How to get there with the bus:

From the centre of Turku you can get directly to Naantali: the timetables for lines 6 and 7 can be found at www.foli.fi. Under this link you can find the timetables for all local N-lines, including the buses from Naantali to Rymättylä and Merimasku.

With the Car:

Naantali is 20 minutes drive from Turku. By your own car you can drive from Helsinki on the E18, from Tampere on National Road No. 9 and from Pori on National Road No. 8, each with its own exit towards Naantali.

We drove with our friends for the sunrise in Naatali to see the beautiful sky at the lake. We succeeded very well, because we were able to see the sunrise with all its splendor. The sky stretched in many different shades of pink and yellow which made these beautiful pictures possible.
