Another trip we planned was a two day trip to Stockholm, Sweden. We took the Fairy from Turku Harbour and had a cabin to ourselves for the 10 h trip on the ocean. First we thought, the time is not going to get over but little did we know that the ship (Vikings) is actually massive and has shops as well as restaurants, bars and game/casino on board.

If you ever plan on going to Stockholm from Finland, I would recommend to take the Ship instead of the plane. Of course the plane is much faster and easier to get there, but gaining the experience is the key point here.

The sunset on the ship was beautiful, it was nicely reflecting on the sea and let Stockholm shine from the far for a couple of minutes.

Furthermore the the costs were pretty low with traveling with the ship. We spent about 40€ for getting to Stockholm and back to Turku with a two bed cabin.

Btw. the bed I had in my cabin was even more comfy than my bed here in Turku.. Just saying..

We were clever enough, does not happen a lot with the actions we take as a pair (Selina and me), we chose our hotel close to the Harbour which is also close to the city and made everything pretty easy for us to reach with walking distance.

Thats why we had the opportunity to just walk to our hotel, which took us about 10 min from where the ship left us. Keep in mind to locate your Hotel or Airbnb close to the city and easy to reach.

This was close to Stockholm:
