Lapland - How we got there

Aktualisiert: 20. Mai 2020

One of the trips I was really excited for, was definitely Lapland! It’s a winter wonderland, perfect for snow and cold lovers. It was clear for my roommate and me to join the Lappland tour organized. So we looked for the trip organizations which arrange different trips in Scandinavia for students and so you can participate carefree without having to worry about the travel, because most of the things are already planned.

Therefore we compared a few trips and ended up booking our Lapland Tour from StudentTrips. The nearest pickup point to Turku was Tampere, which meant we needed to book extra bus tickets for that. In total we were on the road for 16h! It was kind of a not ending journey..

If you have the opportunity to fly, do that because bus driving is definitely not fun. And if you have long legs, this is yet another reason not to go on longer trips with the bus. But we survived and it was worth the wait and back pain, being a bit dramatic here.

We had enough stops to get out of the bus, walk a bit and get snacks from the store. The minute we arrived at our cabins, the rooms were divided and we had to chance to settle down and relax.

The start of our Lappland experience..
